Assembled the case, put in all the switches and keycaps, and potentiometers caps, and added the heat inserts and put in all the screws!
Had to adjust some bits of the acrylic sheet using a soldering iron to make the potentiometers fit.

Desoldered the SSD1306 LED again because I think it was shorted. I think GND and VCC are shorted. Will put the LED aside for now and solder up the rest of the board!

Put 26 tiny MillMax sockets onto the PCB using tweezers and secured them with tape!!
And soldered 12 of them!!

Soldered a PCF8574A IO expander! One of the hardest components I have soldered yet because all the pins were so close together!

Made a cool diode direction and current tester to see if they were all connected in the right direction and working!

Irtaza Irtaza 3 months ago
The diodes are meant to allow current to flow in only one direction, so if I connect the red wire to the top pin and the blue wire to the bottom pin, the current should flow and the LED should light up. However, if I do the opposite, it should not light up. And if the light does not illuminate at all, then the diodes are not functioning!

Can you explain what's happening? Either way this looks super cool:neocat_fingerguns:

Soldered all the diodes (hopefully in the right direction!!)!
It took so long. I think something is wrong with my soldering iron. The edge of the soldering tip doesn't melt the solder, and only the middle part melts it :(
